<p>There is only one way to stop this from happening and that is to create a style guide. Not only will a style guide aid you oversee the reproduction of your logo - it will also help you strengthen your brand recognition – which many argue is one of the strongest selling tools.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The common question that is asked when purchasing a new projector for the home, office, or classroom is: would I get an LCD projector or a DLP projector? LCD, an acronym for ‘liquid crystal device’ and DLP, an acronym for ‘digital light processing’ are the two commonplace projector imaging technologies. With so many business brands and models available, it can be challenging for customers to choose between the two technologies. The simple fact of the matter is that LCD projectors provide far superior image quality and colour accuracy. The following article tells you why DLP projectors struggle with projecting a similar grade of image quality.</p>
<p>Imagine a set of blinds in your room covering your bedroom window. With the twist of a rod you can make the shutters open or closed, depending on whether you want to let light in or not. This is exactly how an LCD projector functions. Each pixel operates like an individual shutter on a set of blinds to either shine light through or to block it. DLP on the other hand is formed of millions of microscopic mirrors or ‘pixel elements’ as experts like to call them. Each pixel element works to either reflect light or block it.</p>
<p>How the light source is processed from the point when the projector is turned on to when the image reaches your screen is extremely important for image quality, brightness and colour accuracy. LCD projectors project white light from the lamp by separating it into red, blue and green components, by three mirrors which transfer the coloured light to 3 individual LCD panels. The 3 LCD panels create the elements of the image by switching each pixel on and off. The pixels are then simultaneously processed in a glass prism to deliver the projector image. Something important to understad about LCD projectors is that all three colours are delivered onto your projector screen at once. The way a DLP projector functions is vastly different and even the final product of how an image looks is not the same. With DLP, white light from the lamp is directed through a rotating colour wheel with transparent red, blue and green segments, at speeds up to 11,000 rpm/s. This method of projecting an image forms a sequence of red, blue and green light. The millions of micro mirrors as mentioned above reflect the coloured light on the pixels to produce the image elements. The elements of the image are cast in sequence on the screen, one colour at a time. The viewer&#8217;s eyes will then combine each coloured element of the image into the single full image. In LCD projectors, all colours are available all the time to create the highest brightness and great colour accuracy. In DLP, only one colour is available at any given time, and so causing lower colour brightness and accuracy. Some DLP manufacturers have included a white segment in the colour wheel to improve all over brightness, but this goes and lessens colour accuracy.</p>
<p>I hear in forums all the time that DLP has a higher contrast ratio and as such must be better. For those who don&#8217;t know, the contrast ratio is a measure of a display system defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest white to that of the darkest black that the machine is capable of. DLP projectors do offer high contrast specifications as compared to most LCD projectors. Initially, this seems to be an advantage, however, in reality, the true black level is determined by the ambient light in the room where the projector is utilised. Do not be tricked by contrast specifications on websites and in brochures.</p>
<p>When the content you want to project has moving images, DLP projection technology also creates image errors, or ‘artifacts’. The most common artifact that a DLP projector shows with moving images is colour break up. Colour break up is to be expected in DLP systems because moving images change position between the time red, blue and green colours are pulled up. LCD projectors do not have this characteristic because all the colours are delivered at the same time. DLP builders have created 3DLP solutions using 3 chips to resolve the colour break up problem, but the price of these projectors make them not practical for the large part of businesses and consumers.</p>
<p>Another variance between LCD and DLP is how they compensate for the refractive qualities of light. Take yourself back to high school science, and remember how different colours of light refract different amounts when passing through the same lens. The problem with DLP projectors is that they use the one same panel for the same lens to project Red, Blue and Green. All 3 colours are obviously not the same and refract light in different ways. Usually with a DLP projector, an extra yellow colour will come through above and a spill of blue will appear below something as simple as a straight black line. In building LCD projectors can be adjusted to minimize these effects on the projected image, because each colour is processed on its own LCD panels.</p>
<p>The isolated veritable plus (excluding price) with going with a DLP projector is its overall smaller size and weight. However, this is only relevant for transporting the device and needs to be traded off against the image superiority of LCD projectors. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As the Dutch rose to preeminence in sea power during the 17th century, the early yacht had been a leisure craft used first by royalty and secondly by the burghers for the canals and the protected and unprotected waters of the Low Countries. Racing yachts was incidental, borne from private challenges. English yachting originated with King Charles II of England during his exile in the Low Countries. On his reaffirmation to the English royalty in 1660, the city of Amsterdam presented him with a 20-metre (66-foot) pleasure boat with a beam (maximum width) of 5.6 m (18 feet), which he called Mary. Charles and his brother James, the duke of York (James II, reigned 1685–88), made other yachts and in 1662 raced two of them from the Thames, from Greenwich, to Gravesend, and the same way back, on a Â£100 bet. Yachting rose as popular with the affluent and aristocracy, but after that time the trend did not last.</p>
<p>The first yacht club in the British Isles, the Water Club, was instigated at about 1720 at Cork, Ire., as a cruising and unofficial coast guard group, and held much naval panoply and rigour. The closest thing to a race was the “chase,” for which the “fleet” pursued a fictional enemy. The club went on, for the large part as a social club, until 1765, and in 1828, after merging with other organisations, it became the Cork Yacht Club (later the Royal Cork Yacht Club).</p>
<p>Yacht racing began in some stipulated fashion on the Thames in the mid-18th century. The duke of Cumberland funded the Cumberland Fleet for Thames racing in 1775. When George IV came to the throne in 1820, it was named the Fleet to His Majesty&#8217;s Coronation Sailing Society. The Thames Yacht Club seceded with a racing fight, to become the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 1830. The first English yacht club had been formed at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1815, and royal patronage made the Solent - the strait between the mainland and the Isle of Wight - the perpetual location of British yacht racing. The society at Cowes became the Royal Yachting Club, again at the rise of George IV. All members were required to possess boats of at least 20 tons (20,321 kg). Sailing tests for large bids were held, and the club life was lovely. Ultimately Royal Yachting Club boats increased in size to bigger than 350 tons.</p>
<p>In North America, yachting began with the Dutch in New York in the 17th century and persisted when the English gained dominance. Sailing was largely for leisure and reached its epitome in George Crowinshield&#8217;s Cleopatra&#8217;s Barge (1815), which sailed on the Mediterranean Sea and established a minimum of luxury and elegance for the later yachts in that area from the late 19th century. The first continuing American yacht group, the Detroit Boat Club, was formed in 1839. In 1844, John C. Stevens began the New York Yacht Club aboard his schooner Gimcrack.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of sailboats<br /></strong>The first sailing yachts followed the lines of such naval craft as brigantines, schooners, and cutters from the 17th century until the later half of the 19th century. The craft of bigger yachts was initially heavily put upon by the success of America, which was designed by George Steers for a group led by John C. Stevens, and it was the boat for which the America&#8217;s Cup (q.v.) had its namesake after its win at Cowes in 1851. The first yachts were not designed and built in today&#8217;s sense, with only a model being used. Not until the latter half of the 19th century did what was known as naval architecture come into action. Not until the 1920s did the use of the study of aerodynamics do for the craft of sails and rigging what such study had done earlier for hulls.</p>
<p>Because almost all sailboats had been individually built, there was a need for handicapping boats as this was before the one-design class boats were made. Thus, a rating rule was written, which ended up in the International Rule, taken on in 1906 and edited in 1919. In the present day, one of the rapidly blossoming areas in sailing is that of one-design class boats. All boats in a one-design class are created to the same requirements in length, beam, sail area, and other aspects (for an example of a two-person sailboat, see illustration). Racing between such boats can be had on an even keel with no handicapping at all. A perfect example is the generic International America&#8217;s Cup Class taken on for participants in the 1992 America&#8217;s Cup race.</p>
<p>As long as yachting was an activity mostly for the aristocracy and the wealthy, money was no problem, and the size of boats grew, in both length and weight. The ascendancy and popularity of smaller craft came in the second half of the 19th century in the sailing of the Englishmen R.T. McMullen, a stockbroker, and E.F. Knight, a barrister and journalist. A journey around the world (1895–98) captained single-handedly by the naturalized American captain Joshua Slocum in the 11.3-metre Spray made plain the value of less sizeable boats. Following this in the 20th century, for the larger part after World War II, smaller racing and pleasure craft became commonplace, down to the dinghy, a favourite training boat, of 3.7 m. In the late 20th century, yachts of less than 3 m were sailed single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of power yachts<br /></strong>After the decade 1840–50, in which steam started to replace sail power in public vessels, the steam engine, and later the internal-combustion engine, were increasingly favoured in leisure yachts. Sizeable power yachts were progressed to a high standard, and long-distance cruising became a preferred pastime of the well off. The early power yachts were paddle-wheel boats; they then gave rise to boats powered by the completely submerged screw or propeller sort of propulsion. Like naval and merchant boats, auxiliaries possessing both sail and power were the yacht fashion for many years. By the later half of the 20th century, several yachts were still auxiliaries, but the majority were only power yachts with gasoline or diesel engines.</p>
<p>From the last decade of the 19th century there was a boom in the design of bigger steam yachts. Notably among these was the Mayflower (1897) of 2,690 tons, with triple-expansion engines, twin screws, and a compartmented iron hull, and was manned by a crew of at least 150. The Mayflower, bought by the United States Navy in 1898, was the official yacht of the president of the United States until 1929 and was used in active service in World War II.</p>
<p>As more sizeable and better quality internal-combustion engines were developed, many large boats started using them for power. The development of the diesel engine, employing heavy oil for fuel, advanced from World War I. In the decade following, big power-yacht manufacture grew, climaxing in the Orion (1930) at 3,097 tons. From that time the biggest auxiliary yacht built was the four-masted, steel, barque-rigged Sea Cloud (1931) of 2,323 tons.</p>
<p>The manufacture of large power yachts declined after 1932, and the fashion thereafter was for smaller, less costly yachts. From World War II, a lot of small naval boats were sold to private owners for conversion to yachts. In the late 20th century, yachting had become a internationally loved activity enjoyed by thousands of yachtsmen individually sailing and keeping their own small recreational craft. The amount of yachts and sailors is increasing steadily, not only in the traditional areas along the beach but also on inland waterways and lakes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Taxes are distinguished by the effect they have on the distribution of income and wealth. A proportional tax is the kind that puts the same relative liability on all taxpayers—i.e., where tax liability and income move in the same proportion. A progressive tax is characterized by a higher than proportional increase in the tax onus in relation to the increase in income, and a regressive tax is characterized by a less than proportional rise in the comparable onus. Hence, progressive taxes are thought of as taking away a lack of equality in income distribution, whereas regressive taxes are found to result in increasing these inequalities.</p>
<p>The taxes that are normally believed to be progressive include individual income taxes and estate taxes. Income taxes that are declarably progressive, however, may become less so in the upper-income class—in particular if a taxpayer is allowed to lessen his tax base by nominating deductions or by taking some income components from his taxable income. Proportional tax rates which are applied to lower-income groups can also be more progressive if such exemptions of a personal nature are claimed.</p>
<p>Income measured over a given period does not absolutely provide the best measure of taxpaying status. For example, transitory growth in income can be saved, and in temporary declines in income a taxpayer could opt to finance consumption by reducing savings. Ergo, if taxation is held in comparison with “permanent income,” it should be less regressive (or more progressive) than when it is compared with annual income.</p>
<p>Sales taxes and excises (excepting those on luxuries) are generally regressive, because the spread of own income consumed or spent for a specific good lowers as the level of personal income grows. Poll taxes (aka head taxes), levied as a fixed amount per capita, patently are regressive.</p>
<p>It is not easy to term corporate income taxes and taxes on business as progressive, regressive, or proportionate, principally due to the lack of certainty regarding the ability of businesses to shift their tax expenses (see below Shifting and incidence). This difficulty of nominating who bears the tax burden lays crucially on whether a national or a subnational (that is, provincial or state) tax is being decided.</p>
<p>In analysing the economic purposes of taxation, it is relevant to distinguish between several concepts of tax rates. The statutory rates will be dictated in law; generally speaking these are marginal rates, but for some cases they are median rates. Marginal income tax rates indicate the fraction of incremental income demanded by taxation when income grows by one dollar. Hence, if tax onus increases by 45 cents when income rises by one dollar, the marginal tax rate is 45 percent. Income tax legislation commonly contain graduated marginal rates—i.e., rates that rise as income rises. Careful analysis of marginal tax rates need to take into account provisions as well as the formal statutory rate structure. If, for example, a particular tax credit (reduction in tax) falls by 20 cents for each one-dollar rise in income, the marginal rate is 20 percentage points greater than nominated in the statutory rates. Since marginal rates display how after-tax income is changed in response to changes in before-tax income, they are the necessary ones for considering incentive effects of taxation. It is even more complicated to know the marginal effective tax rate to apply to income from business and capital, as it may depend on factors including the structure of depreciation allowances, the deductibility of interest, and the provisions for inflation adjustment. A basic economic theorem shows that the marginal effective tax rate in income from capital is zero under a consumption-based tax.</p>
<p>Average income tax rates determine the percentage of total income that is required in taxation. The pattern of average rates is the one that is relevant for assessing the distributional equity of taxation. Under a progressive income tax the average income tax rate rises with income. Average income tax rates usually increase with income, both because personal allowances are allowed for the taxpayer and dependents and also due to that marginal tax rates are graduated; on the other hand, preferential treatment of income received predominantly by high-income households could dampen these effects, allowing regressivity, as signified by average tax rates that decline as income grows.</p>
